Our representative, Miyauchi, was selected as a semi-finalist from among 1,114 applicants in "TOKYO STARTUP GATEWAY 2022," the largest business contest in Japan organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, with his business plan to "convey sake culture through regional learning and tasting experience tours."
To contribute to increasing the consumption of Japanese sake
Compared to 50 years ago, sake production has decreased by 25%, and the number of sake breweries has decreased by 30%. This is thought to be due to external factors such as the declining birthrate, the increase in leisure activities other than drinking, and the increased availability of alcoholic beverages other than sake, as well as internal factors such as the inability to raise sake prices, which has made it unprofitable and forced many breweries to close down.
There is at least one sake brewery in every prefecture, totaling over 1,200 locations, and each brews sake according to the local climate, history, and traditional techniques. The loss of a sake brewery means the loss of the local culture associated with sake.
We aim to increase the number of fans who say, "Sake is fun!" and "I want to learn more about this region!" by offering tours that allow people to actually visit the region, learn about its history and culture, and taste the sake that it produces. In doing so, we hope to contribute to expanding sake consumption.
What is TOKYO STARTUP GATEWAY?
This startup contest transcends various fields, from technology and manufacturing to social innovation, real business, and globally-minded entrepreneurship, aiming to produce young entrepreneurs who will change the world from "Tokyo."

To contribute to the increase in consumption of sake
Compared to 50 years ago, the production volume of sake has decreased by 25% and the number of sake breweries has decreased by 30%. This is due to external factors such as the declining birthrate, the increase in ways to enjoy leisure other than drinking, and the increase in alcohol choices other than sake, and the inability to increase the price of sake, making it unprofitable. I believe this is related to internal factors, such as the fact that there are many situations in which companies have no choice but to close their businesses.
There is at least one sake brewery in every prefecture, with a total of more than 1,200 breweries. The loss of sake breweries leads to the loss of the local culture related to sake.
By actually visiting the region, learning about the history and culture of the region, and providing a tour where you can taste the sake produced by them, we believe that “sake is fun!” We would like to increase the number of fans who say "!" and contribute to increasing the consumption of sake.
