A pairing event featuring GI Tone-Numata certified sake was held with sommelier Shinya Tasaki.
On February 2nd, a GI Tone-Numata certified sake pairing dinner was held at Hotel Bellavita in Numata City, Gunma Prefecture, with sommelier Shinya Tasaki in attendance. While listening to live commentary from Mr. Tasaki, the participants enjoyed a French pairing dinner featuring six types of certified sake.
Our company participated as the secretariat for the GI Tone-Numata Liaison Council, and I served as the moderator.
Since the Tone-Numata GI designation was established in 2022, this was the first time we were able to hold such a dinner event after the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. I was deeply impressed by the joyful expressions of everyone from both within and outside the region, and by Mr. Tasaki's many insightful comments.
As the secretariat, we intend to continue our efforts to raise awareness of the GI Tone-Numata.
